⚡QUICK JOTS
A science journalist with a very calm voice interviews one researcher an episode about why people do what they do without noticing. Since 2015.
Occasional. It arrived on 2025-03-22-Saturday, which was the first Saturday without the wall: finger taped, day flat, the first ten minutes of rehabilitation done at the kitchen table with a loading pin and this in my ears. I wanted something that asked nothing of me. It is good at that.
My honest position: the stories are well told, and the host is kind to his guests in a way I admire, and one finding per episode is carried a long way. After a spring of Hale asking how big was the sample and did it replicate, I find I am asking it of a podcast, which is unfair on a podcast.
- Good for: a walk when I am tired, a long train.
- Not for: anything I intend to repeat at work as a fact.
- Six or seven episodes all year. I do not expect that to change.
