System two
How an idea matures.
A source is someone else's work. A literature note is your account of it. A permanent note is one idea you hold. When a dozen circle one subject, a map gathers them. Most sources stop at step one.
Sources → Literature notes → Permanent notes → Maps.
The title is the idea.
“Habits” is a folder. “A habit needs a fixed cue more than it needs motivation” is an idea: you can agree, disagree, and link it in the middle of a sentence.
A permanent note's title is a full claim you could disagree with.
One or two ideas a month is a good month.
