Turn it on, on your terms.
Cmd/Ctrl + , → Sylvics Core Plugin → Sage Agent. Choose a provider under AI Processing Mode: Ollama on your computer, or your own key for Anthropic, Gemini, OpenRouter or an OpenAI-compatible address. Then turn on Enable Sage and AI features.

Embedding Mode decides where the search index is built. The starting choice, the built-in Web Worker, keeps note text on your computer. Cloud API sends the first 1,000 characters of every included note to the index provider you pick.
Provider keys are stored as plain text in .obsidian/plugins/sylvics-core/data.json. Remove it before sharing a copy of your vault.
